“The Atlas of EEG, Seizure Semiology, and Management is a tour de force, integrating the essential features of normal
and abnormal EEGs and how these relate to understanding seizures and diagnosing and treating the diverse epilepsy
syndromes that neurologists and epileptologists are confronted with. This Atlas will help both the novice and the expert
to better integrate neurophysiology, clinical observations, and patient care.”
—Orrin Devinsky, MD, Professor of Neurology and Neuroscience, NYU Grossman School of Medicine“
This is an excellent and detailed book that includes basic principles of electronics and electrophysiology, as well as the
origins of EEG activity with a description of the role in EEG and diagnosis and management. The book includes
definitions and classifications of epilepsies and has over 500 images, particularly of basics of electrophysiology as well
as EEG patterns and excellent examples of EEG tracings. The book also includes a nice, concise overview of the various
anti-epileptic drugs, their mechanism of action, indications, and side effects, and has excellent tables. This book is very
well written, detailed, and provides a very good source of information as well as a review for those interested in clinical
neurophysiology and epilepsy.”
